Tenant Representation: Office Model/Workplace Solutions Post COVID-19

The ways companies are utilizing office space has evolved since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. With people being home more and advancements in technology over the past year, remote work has become the new norm. In this Rokos Minute, you’ll learn about the four types of office models we are commonly discussing with our clients.

The first is 100% back to office, which is still a strong preference to many. We see this with businesses who believe their companies success depends on in person collaboration at a centrally located headquarters.

Second is the hybrid hub and spoke model. This workplace involves a single headquarters hub in addition to smaller suburban offices. Employees who wish to be or need to be on-site full time can access a central office, whereas other employees can work closer to home in a smaller office environment.

Third is the hybrid hub and home model. Here, companies have one central office for employees to work onsite coupled with individuals working from home offices.

Last is the fully remote office where entire companies are committed to working from home environments. While this may seem somewhat aggressive, this has been in use for some time already with many tech firms and customer service focused businesses.

There will always be variations on these models; these are only the most common office models to consider when evaluating your business needs.
